Wildwood Retreat

The retreat lies in its own private kingdom of 100 acres and enjoys spectacular views over rolling pasture towards Norfolk Inlet with mountain backdrop in the distance - a 'perfect picture box scene' where the light and mood changes constantly.
The retreat adjoins Wildwood (our home) that is a substantial property., The retreat nestles on the East side of our home facing N/NE. The retreat is fully self-contained with its own private driveway, garden area and entry, so that guests can enjoy their own privacy and come and go at their leisure.
Bedroom
The retreat bedroom is extremely spacious with floor to ceiling double glazed windows with glyding honeycomb blinds.. There is a European Kingsize Bed with quality linen, BIR, contemporary oak desk and sumptous leather recliner. The bedroom also has a spacious ensuite with underfloor heating, heated towel rail, free standing bath and walk in shower.. The bi-fold windows by the bath also open out so guests can enjoy an outdoor/indoor bathing experience whilst overlooking the view. A hairdryer and robes are also provided as well as soap and bubblebath.
Entry Lobby + Living
There is a beautiful modern stainless steel and timber spiral staircase in the retreat lobby/entry area that leads guests up to the spacious contemporary open plan living/kitchen/dining area on the second level (though almost three storeys high) that has cathedral windows to maximise the views - guests will feel as if they are literally floating amongst the treetops - a perfect place to relax, de-stress and commune with nature..
The open plan living/kitchen/dining area has dining seating for up to 4 guests and two sofas. There is also a large flat screen Smart TV plus a DVD and small DVD library. Quality magazines and a small selection of games are also available for guests enjoyment.
Kitchen
The kitchen has composite stone bench tops, quality stainless steel appliances, including a Smeg Oven and cooktop, a Delonghi coffee machine, Electrolux stainless steel fridge/freezer and Bosh dishwasher.. The kitchen is well equipped and provisions include quality coffee, a range of quality teas plus a few pantry basics.
Eco Retreat
Wildwood Retreat enjoys a 7 star energy rating.. The property is clad on the exterior in stunning spotted gum sourced sustainably. We have also used 'eco' and recycled products wherever possible, including Wildwood's entry door that is bespoke and constructed using recycled timbers. Recycling is very much encouraged at the property, and we have also included a compost bin for vegetable scraps for our worm farm.

Provisions
Wildwood has its own fully equipped kitchen and so ordinarily guests are expected to bring their own provisions. However the retreat also has a partially stocked pantry of basics for guests, including salt, pepper, quality teas, coffee, sugar, olive oil as well as some herbs and spices.
Access
The retreat is not suitable for people with physical challenges unfortunately due to the natural terrain of the land. The area around the immediate property is relatively flat, however beyond that area, the land is steep, with terraced gardens and uneven stone steps. The ground beyond the retreat itself is also steep and uneven, and there is an open dam on the property.
